This gentelman called to inquire about a custom fish tank hood. His fish tank is designed to fit in the corner of a room. He had the tank and stand but needed a hood that was discontinued by the company. I took the measurements of the stand and scaled the hight down to 10 inches. Other than the hight, the hood will look identical to the stand once it is painted black.

The frame is made from 3/4 inch plywood double stacked for 1 1/2 inches. Plywood was used for the carcase since it is more stable than solid wood, especially since this will be so close to water. The top, front, and doors are made of maple. This was one fun project to build.
