Wooden Bibles
One of my original designs from back in my early woodworking days is the wooden Bible. This one was requested as a gift for Valentines day by a coworker. Times have changed and so has the design. I went with three dark hinges on each side rather than the long gold one to accent to wood burning on this Redwood. Definitely an improvement over prior versions.
These Bibles were designed about 5 years ago. The two pictured here are the originals. I have since made them for about 10 different families. Each family has a different logo on the front cover. Each Bible has one family members’ name on the spine. The two in the picture are made of Red Oak, but I have made these out of Walnut, Canarywood, Paduk, and Mahogany.
